Acetyl Carnosine

Acetyl Carnosine (N-acetyl-L-carnosine) is the acetylated form of the naturally occurring dipeptide carnosine (beta-alanyl-L-histidine). In skincare, it functions as a potent antioxidant and anti-glycation agent, helping to protect proteins such as collagen and elastin from damage caused by sugar molecules (advanced glycation end products, or AGEs) that contribute to skin ageing and loss of elasticity.
