Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide

Alpha-glucan oligosaccharide is a glucose oligomer (degree of polymerisation 2-10) enzymatically synthesised from sucrose. It functions as a bio-selective prebiotic substrate that selectively promotes the growth of beneficial skin microflora while not feeding pathogenic bacteria. It also stimulates keratinocytes to release antimicrobial peptides, supporting the skin's natural defence system.
