Ethylhexylglycerin

Ethylhexylglycerin is a synthetic glycerol monoalkylether derived from glycerin and 2-ethylhexanol, combining the moisturising benefits of glycerin with mild emollient properties. It functions primarily as a preservative booster — enhancing the antimicrobial efficacy of phenoxyethanol and other preservatives — while also acting as a deodorant that inhibits odour-causing bacteria. Its dual lipophilic/hydrophilic character allows smooth integration into both water-based and oil-based formulations without altering texture or fragrance.
