Ozokerite

Ozokerite is a naturally occurring mineral wax composed of saturated straight-chain hydrocarbons (predominantly C20–C50) mined from geological deposits. It is used in cosmetics primarily as a thickener and structuring agent, giving solid-format products such as lip balms, sunsticks, and eyeliners their firm, waxy consistency. Its high melting point (58–100°C) makes it particularly valuable for maintaining product stability across a range of temperatures.
