Kaolin has an irritancy rating of 0 according to INCIDecoder. It is one of the gentlest clays available and is well tolerated by sensitive skin. EU CosIng lists it with cosmetic restriction IV/119 (as a colorant, CI 77004). No Annex II or III restrictions apply for its absorbent and bulking functions.
Kaolin does not increase photosensitivity. No special sun protection measures are required beyond a standard daily SPF routine.
