Proline does not increase photosensitivity. No special sun protection measures are required when using proline-containing products.
Proline is a naturally occurring amino acid in the body and is generally considered low risk. However, WebMD notes there is not enough reliable information to confirm safety of topical proline during pregnancy. Consult a healthcare provider. Amounts found naturally in foods are considered safe.
