Tripeptide-1 (INCI: Tripeptide-1) is a synthetic signal peptide composed of three amino acids — glycine, histidine, and lysine (GHK). It mimics a collagen breakdown fragment that signals the skin to produce new collagen, elastin, and other extracellular matrix proteins. It also acts as a natural copper-binding carrier, forming GHK-Cu when paired with copper ions, which amplifies its tissue-repair and anti-ageing effects.
