Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin

Hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin is a modified beta-cyclodextrin, a cyclic oligosaccharide composed of seven glucose units with a hydrophilic exterior and a lipophilic (oil-loving) interior cavity. This donut-shaped molecular structure allows it to encapsulate and stabilise other active ingredients, improving their solubility, bioavailability, and controlled release in cosmetic formulations.
