Isosorbide Dicaprylate

Isosorbide Dicaprylate is the diester of isosorbide and caprylic acid, functioning as a multifunctional skin hydrator and barrier-strengthening molecule. It works synergistically with glycerin by upregulating Aquaporin 3 (AQP3), facilitating glycerin and water transport into skin cells, and may also upregulate CD44 (hyaluronic acid receptor) and ceramide synthase expression.
